I have been trying to port my land line number to a cell company for aprox 4 weeks with no luck. EVERY time I call Windstream customer service I get a different answer to my questions and problem. I have been lied to, put off, placed on endless hold and bounced back and forth from department to department. I understand they do not want to loose business but if their phone service was more affordable I would not need to switch. I am EXTREMELY unhappy and disappointed with the quality of customer service that they offer. They need to better train their employees so that everyone is on the same page.

I have been trying to port my numbers since april of 2014, now I have been told that my numbers are inactive and not portable, when I call I get there is no problem and no attempt to port has been made. I am fed up with the problems. NEVER USE WINDSTREAM IF YOU THINK YOU MAY EVER WANT TO CHANGE CARRIERS. IF THESE WERE NOT BUSINESS LINES I WOULD ABANDON THE NUMBERS AND GET NEW ONES. WIND STREAM NOT MY FAVORITE COMPANY

I have been trying to port my landline number for over 51 days and counting. The porting department (PD) will not communicate to my new company or me. The PD hangs up on them and will not provide any information as to why they won’t port my number. After many attempts to receive information Windstream reports that a spelling error was made in the port request 51 days ago. Why they couldn’t tell us this before I’m sure I don’t know. I guess they like playing games. All of the information I gave to the new company was correct so I checked my latest bill. It turns out when Windstream took over for D&E communications they spelled my street name incorrectly. This apparently is the hold up? All this time was wasted because of Windstreams error and lack of communication. The port department is a big secret and no one can speak to them. I hope they like speaking to the FCC because I have lodge a formal complaint against this company.
