Paying for 12 mbps - getting less than 2 mbps - for the last two years - Windstream internet


For the last two years we paid for 12 mbps and only get less than 2 mbps. We kept calling the customer service, and they can't figure out what's going on. We asked for a partial credit with no success. We were promised that it will soon be fixed.... it's been over two years now and no change. Since we don't have any other services around, we don't have any other choice. If you have another option other than Windstream , go with it. Windstream is not keeping their word and definitely is not there for their customers.

I've had the same problem with them since July when I requested an updated bundle. After installng it, they determined it wouldn't work, came out and said they put me back to my original service which was a lie. Now I cannot move from one site to another and I'm a business client. After arguing with them for months, they finally did something that gives me my old speed from 8 AM to 5 PM but that's getting shaky now too and doesn't cover the hours I work. Today I called FCC at 888-225-5322 and filed a formal complaint. The guy at FCC was very helpful, said Windstream would be investigated and they would get back to me.

I encourage you to call them and file a complaint. Windstream could care less about the issue. They just sell service they don't have and then do nothing to solve the problems they create. My issue has been going on since July and their negligence has cost me thousands.

My next call is going to be to the GA Governer's Consumer Complain line (at FCC's suggestion).

The only way Windstream is going to act decently with the customers they have harmed is for people to file compaints with the FCC. The FCC WILL remind them of their responsibility to provide what they promise.
