Pirates at windstream - DISH Bundle


We have had windstream for our internet connection for about 2.5yrs. we have had weekly outages ever since it was installed. We even upgraded at the suggestion of tech support. We recently called again to complain. Since that call, we have had intermittent outages each and everyday. there is no rhyme or reason for these outages that occur at better than 10 times per day. Windstream has a monopoly in our area and no other service provider can get in. Windstream uses this to their advantage by providing sub-standard service--no, very poor service at very high prices. They also raise their rates and tell us point blank that if we want service, its just something we have to deal with.

We were experiencing slow speeds on our DSL service, Windstream representatives said we just needed to upgrade, so we switched DSL service from 1.5 to 3.0. We are paying for more speed, but we are luck if we get the old speed! Windstream has not been able to provide the speed promised. These past weeks our internet speed is great every morning, it gets intermittent through out the day until its near nonexistent by evening. Last night I finally phoned, I give my information to two Windstream service representatives and was sent to the third one, when she asked for all my information yet again, I gave my phone number, then I stated, 'I called to complain about my nearly nonexistent internet, I've been transferred three times, do you really think I'd have gotten to you if I wouldn't already given all my proper information to the other two Windstream representatives. Really.' Windstream representative then asked about the modem, as I'm telling her the make and all, I let her know they blamed the crappy service on the modem for over a year until we finally replaced it, but the services hasn't changed at all. We still have to phone in every few weeks. Windstream representative then had me type codes into the computer command prompt, and ended by telling me my Network Interface Card wasn't working. My next question to her was, then why does the internet work every morning just great. Really, if the NIC card isn't working I couldn't be sending this right now!
