WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD!


I moved to Hazard over a month ago and decided to go with Windstream since it required no contract and there was only one other company available. I thought, "What could possibly be so bad about it?" Now, let me get started...

When I signed up I asked for the fastest internet which was $64.99 a month. I didn't want tv or a home phone. The guy kept telling me that for just $2 more I could have a home phone with completely unlimited calling and long distance. I went ahead and signed up for it. After receiving my first bill I realized that this was a lie and I'm being charged for VERY low speed internet (but was informed that this was the fastest I could have in my area) and $29.99 for my phone.

Now, my internet NEVER hardly works...I repeat, NEVER! I was being charged for two phone lines and had two completely different accounts without my knowledge. I found this out when my phone quit working and kept saying line in use. The repair man came out 3 days later and told my husband that we had two phone lines and that it was the problem. Contacted Windstream and was told that the man had no clue what he was talking about and that I didn't have two phone lines. I didn't believe them so I called back and talked to someone else and was told the same thing. I was woke up this morning on my day off from "myself" as my name showed up on my caller id with a number that I didn't recognize. Called it back and it told me to hang up and allow the other party to answer since it was my own line. This means that someone has been using my service for free...

I called in and explained to them what had happened. I was hung up on 5 times by 5 different people! I finally called them and told them that if they hung up on me one more time that I would cancel my service all together. I didn't get hung up on, but I was given the run around. The man FINALLY made it out here after me calling a million times in order to get a straight answer. Didn't knock or anything so I didn't know my service had been restored...

I went and signed up for the other company and will be letting everyone I know about these issues. Don't sign up for Windstream unless you like being treated like you don't matter!
