Windstream Service is AWFUL, hurting my business - Windstream business

We have been a medium business customer for 3 1/2 years. We have several T1 lines and voice over two locations. From day 1 we've had issues. The T lines into one of our locations is spotty and hardly ever gives the service promised. We had one line going in and thought to try increasing to two would help. It took 7 MONTHS to get that one extra T1 line into that building. I have gone through 8 account reps in those 3 years and each one has been as worthless as the one before it. So, finally we're leaving this horrible company, we submit our port requests and turn in our disconnect information and 3 weeks before the cut off date, they have disconnected our toll free lines. Those lines are the ONLY published lines on all of our business documentation. Our customers cannot reach us and the ones that do are in a panic, thinking we're shutting down or something. We're in the building industry and the economy hasn't been kind to competitors, resulting in sudden business closure. I have been working on this to get resolved and again have never in my life dealt with such horrible service. I really didn't think things could get any worse with Windstream . Each time we had a breach of the SLA and a credit was due because THEIR service had outages that affected us (once for 4 days), I had to beg, plead and threaten to get the credit that the SLA says is due. EACH TIME. Many times our phone numbers would stop working to customers of ours in certain areas. Everyone on roadrunner service in Eastern NC (our biggest market) suddenly could not contact us through any number. Other carries in other locations at different times could not either. Windstream would just say, "well, your number has not been updated to them". Funny, the could call every day for the past year and then suddenly...nothing. We went over and over and over this with them. Never in my life had I heard of numbers just suddenly not working like that. The data lines were awful, the voice lines were always having some issue and the service was no help. Then on top of that, I had no idea what account manager I'd deal with to get something escalated. So darn happy to be leaving this company and going somewhere else.
