Windstream is horrid! - Internet Service


I ordered a home phone & internet bundle online. Everything was to be hooked up & connected by Monday evening. I received a voicemail stating it was installed by 9:15 that Monday morning. Great I was thinking, until I went home & nothing worked. I called customer service, was on hold for over an hour, finally talked to a repair tech who put me on hold again only to come back, say he couldn't figure it out, would have someone call me then hung up on me. No call came. Tuesday morning I called & the lady I spoke with was extremely nice & promised someone would be out to my house by 7pm. I even gave directions to my house & told them to call me when they were coming to make sure the tech wouldn't get lost & that I would be home. 7pm came, no call, no one came to my house. I call customer service back only for a very rude man give me the run around. First no one came to my house he said, then his story changed to they went to the wrong house, then they came to my house & said I needed some kind of cable. However, No one ever called to let me know they were coming, NO ONE ever showed up to my house either. When I confronted the man about his changing stories, he yelled my first name at me then told me no one could even come to my house for two weeks. I was promised that day. I then told him I thought this was ridiculous, yes, at this point I raised my voice. He told me well that's how it will be. I then told him I will just cancel my service which in fact was never hooked up!! He was actually more happy to cancel my service than to help me. I ask how to mail the modem back because I wasn't paying for shipping, nor was I going to pay for any bill since I technically I never received any service. The very rude man then hung up on me. Now I still have a modem that I don't know how to ship back. Thanks Windstream . Obviously, you're not out to get new service & make your customers happy.
